All eyes were on Daniel Negreanu as he took a big chip lead into the eight-handed final table with his eyes on poker’s Triple Crown *(EPT, WPT, WSOP bracelet). Unfortunately Daniel finished 4th after a slowroll by fellow Pokerstars Pro Martin Hruby (see video below).

The heads-up duel came down to a coin flip, with Eiler shoving all-in with AT and Hruby calling with 22. The KJ8 flop gave Eiler a flush and left Hruby drawing virtually dead. Hruby failed to improve and had to settle for second, while the 20 year-old German claimed the title and the top prize of over $975,000.

1st: Michael Eiler – €700,000
2nd: Martin Hruby – €470,000
3rd: Konstantinos Nanos – €265,000
4th: Daniel Negreanu – €175,000
5th: Luca Cainelli – €140,000
6th: Andreas Wiese – €105,000
7th: Matthias Lotze – €76,000
8th: Bruno Launais – €60,000

The ceremony was hosted by Team PokerStars Pro Vicky Coren and EPT founder John Duthie and took place at the Karement Club at the start of the EPT Grand Final wrap party on Friday.

“This is awesome. I worked very hard to win this. I played almost all the EPT Main Events, I played a lot of side events. I am very pleased. This is great for my profile as a player.”
