Kassela WSOP Player of the Year 2010

With the start of the WSOP main event all other events are played and therefore the player of the year can be announced. Where there were all known names in the past few years (see below) this years WSOP player of the year is the 42-years old semi-pro Frank Kassela.

He won 2 bracelets this year in Stud-8 and Razz and cashed 5 times. Though his biggest cash was a 3rd place finish in the $25,000 NLHE 6 max.

Does ths WSOP still give a WSOP player of the year braclet? That started when Oklahoma Johny Hale did well in the WSOP man years ago and suggested it to them and he was so awarded. Also, do you get anything for winning teh wsop and/or cardplayer mag. player of the year award? Money, trophy?
