Moritz Kranich just won the WPT Bellagio Cup by eliminating Justin “BoostedJ” Smith heads up in 186 hands. Last hand K10os vs JJ with a AQ2K9 deck. Moritz wins a 1st prize of $875,150, runnerup Justin wins $594,755.

Phil Hellmuths entrance WSOP Main Event 2010

Phil Helmuth, dressed as a MMA fighter, begins play on the third day of the opening round of the World Series of Poker Main Event on Wednesday at the Rio. It didn’t bring him much, he left the Main event on day 1.

Kassela WSOP Player of the Year 2010

With the start of the WSOP main event all other events are played and therefore the player of the year can be announced. Where there were all known names in the past few years (see below) this years WSOP player of the year is the 42-years old semi-pro Frank Kassela.
